Spitz breeds are captivating on account of their beautiful coats, made to stand off by plentiful undercoat. Particularly impressive are the strong, mane-like collar round the neck (ruff) and the bushy tail carried boldly over the back.

Its natural distrust of strangers and lack of hunting instinct make it the ideal companion and family dog and watch dog for home and farm. It is neither timid nor aggressive. Indifference to weather, robustness and longevity are its most outstanding attributes.

out of his territory, the Akbaş Dog is calm. Unprovoked aggression to humans is not accepted. The dog may look aloof as protecting a flock requires independent thinking. The breeding principles must be based not onlyon the physical characteristics, but alsoon the dog’s commitment to the flock and eagerness to protect it.

We thought for a long time, what breed to start with and decided on a Newfoundland dog, not so common breed in this region. In front of you is the first story from the pen of Zoran Trivunčić, B.Sc. Eng. of agriculture and a breeder of these extremely kind and calm dogs who love children and above all love water.

Founded in 1701 by Peter the Great, the creator of the powerful state of the Russiannation, this beautiful imperial city is today a six-million metropolis at the mouth of the Neva to the Gulf of the Baltic Sea, and is certainly one of the most beautiful cities in the world I have been to.

On the slopes of Kozara Mountain, near the ancient monastery of Moštanica, on June 9, a kinology working meeting of an international team of nature lovers, especially pet lovers, was held! During the pleasant all-day gathering, the web portal “THE DOG REPUBLIC” and the e-magazine with same name (as the portal) were promoted in a beautiful setting. At the same time, the first project, one of many, was announced, “THE DOG REPUBLIC”, An illustrated fairy tale about friendship: “My dog friend”, intended for lower elementary school children with the motto: With true friendship, positive energy is always born. Socializing is a special friendship with enjoying tasting meals, home-made lunch and the sounds of music tracks and traditional instruments of Kozara and Knešpolje…
